Blog - 07/09/2007

From the mind of Tyler Peffer,

Today we started bible school. It was awesome to see all the kids. My group - Me, Abby Craig, Brooke, Cory, Aprille, Laurie, Jen, Jessica, and Christin had 18 kids at our site, the other group - Matt, Jodi, Jenette, Amy, Dave, Anna, Lillian, Rob, Zach, and Cheyenne, had 64 kids. We had 3 kids from my group get saved, but i dont know how much they understood what they were doing. No kids talked to the missionary at the other camp but only God knows if the kids thought about stuff and maybe we planted the seed and the kids will be back tomorrow and they will make the final step.

Yesterday, we went to the church that Brian leads. It was a different experience. When you greet a Mexican woman, you shake their hand, touch cheeks, and air kiss. it was different because when they come to church they greet everyone in the church, and then when they leave they do the same, so it was very interesting to see his church and see they people that are there.

After church, we went to the two different site for the camps and handed out tracks and invitations to bible school. we got to hand out more tracks and invitations to the other group so therefore they had more people. and at our site we didnt get to hand out many tracks because it started to rain. really hard. and my group within the group were way across the street and there was no shelter what so ever on the way back to the car. so we had to run, with the rain coming directly at us, about half a mile or more. so i was soaked and my jeans are still trying as I type. so that was an experience.

Tomorrow we will be doing another day of bible school and please pray that God will bring more kids to the camps.

So in your group photo there you're all wearing jeans... is that some sort of safety thing? or are you all just gluttons for some nice fine Mexican Heat Stroke?

:) Have a great trip, touch some lives and have yours touched in return.
